I haven't read Extras yet, nor the From Bogus to Bubbly. What did you like\/dislike about them?
\n
\nLiked: the theme, the action description, the setting, Tally character
\n
\nDisliked: the repetitive review of previous books' info, the constant reminder of what happened in the Smoke to cause its demise and all of the "wah", "la" endings....obviously a parody of the use of youth colloquial terms and slang, but irritating after a while nonetheless.
\n
\nHow about others?

Not that I want it to be like that.... Did you realise something about the last words of each book?? Check it out :) You should read the whole series. They're awesome. I've read From Bogus to Bubbly, it's just giving you a better understanding of the books. It explains the whole wa, la thing and about the sly girls, sneak suits, hoverboards, and things like manga heads and tech heads. Extras is not as good though. Dont ask me why, it just is.","dateCreated":"1263519834","smartDate":"Jan 14, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"Totallyincognito","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/Totallyincognito","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}}],"more":0}]},{"id":"6942183","dateCreated":"1226524467","smartDate":"Nov 12, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"msljackson","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/msljackson","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1225917930\/msljackson-lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/mcmathlibrary.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/6942183"},"dateDigested":1532144339,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Recommendations","description":"I loved the book "Color Purple". \n I saw them on Oprah too, Dharra!
\nIf you like epic movies and epic novels, "Jessica" written by Bryce Courtenay will absolutely transport you to Australia and you follow the main character through her trials of a very difficult life.
\nWARNING: I did not want to finish this book and slowed my reading down at the end because I knew I would miss my friend (Jessica).

I highly recommend it! (And yes, we have it in the McMath library collection!). It's the story of Marie Antoinette, told in the first person. The writing is lush and detailed and exquisite. I especially liked that it allowed me to gain another (kinder) perspective on the life of this usually villified personality from history.","dateCreated":"1226699898","smartDate":"Nov 14, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"pmturner","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/pmturner","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"7020499","body":"YES, Nicole Kidman and hugh Jackman were amazing on Oprah.. big Oprah fan!!!

\nThree good.. no wait, AMAZING reads:
\nCITY OF BONES by Cassandra Clare. That book was amazing, I could not put it down!!! Read it, that's all I've got to say!
\n
\nTHE BOOK OF NEGROES by Lawrence Hill. I also couldn't put this book down... really unforgettable characters, and if you're an emotional person like me, you'll be moved to tears.
\n
\nATONEMENT by Ian McEwan. This is the first book that I've ever shed tears on, I actually started bawling at the end of the book. And watching the movie made me cry all over again. This is one AMAZING book, a remarkable piece of art. Keep a box of kleenex near you when you reach the end of the book.","dateCreated":"1226887806","smartDate":"Nov 16, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"DharraB","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/DharraB","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"7184883","body":"I agree with Dharra,CITY OF BONES by Cassandra Caire was fantastic! Those who like fiction books and love a good teen romance novel will love this book! I can't wait for the third book in the series! =)
\n
\nI also strongly recommend A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY by Libba Bray. The story is rich with historical facts and paints a beatuiful picture about what life in the 1800's is like for a young woman. The characters are complex and intreguing and the supernatural twist to the story keep you moving along at a steady pace. All in all, Libba Bray takes you on a mystical quest that is both passionate and terror filled and I will be diving head first into the next installment and loving every minute of it!!! =D","dateCreated":"1227156969","smartDate":"Nov 19, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"xbobbazx","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/xbobbazx","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1226549716\/xbobbazx-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"18929623","body":"I agree too! Maybe many girls can relate to Bella, and obviously every girl wants their own perfect Edward Cullen. And the layers of romance in the books... that makes it even better.
\n
\nTo a reluctant reader who likes Twilight, but doesn't know what else to read.... they can start off reading "The Vampire Diaries" ( I heard it's pretty good) and then next thing you know they'll find the genre they can click with and then they'll be on a roll.... hopefully. :)","dateCreated":"1226888439","smartDate":"Nov 16, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"DharraB","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/DharraB","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"7184899","body":"Who is going to go see the Twilight movie?","dateCreated":"1227157027","smartDate":"Nov 19, 2008","userCreated":{"username":"xbobbazx","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/xbobbazx","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1226549716\/xbobbazx-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"7251907","body":"Okay...I have to be the first one to post about the Twilight movie. I have heard from those who have seen it and they said it was terrible and then others said it was amazing...I have seen it now. I will have to side with the A M A Z I N G. It was one of THE best films I have ever seen. Personally I think that it wouldn't have suited everyones tastes because it was pretty contemporary from the acting to the music. It was very quirky and personally it brought the book more to life than reading it did for me. It put everything into perspective and order even.
\n
\nFor those who haven't seen it..SEE IT. Make out what you want with it but you have a four stars from me.
